Fundamental Articles Of Faith
1. Belief in Allah. Muslims belive in one, unique and incomparable God, Who has no son nor partner, and none has the right to be worshipped but Him alone.
2. Belief in the Angels (malaa-ikah) of Allah. Muslims believe in the existence of angels and that they are honored creatures. The angels worship Allah alone , obey Him and act only by His command. Among the angels is Gabriel, who brought down the Qur'an to Prophet Muhammad.
3. Belief in Allah's Revealed Books (Al- Kutub). Muslims believe that Allah revealed books to His messengers as proof for mankind and as guidance for them. In the Qur'an, special reference is made to the books of Prophet Ibraaheem or Abraham (Suhuf Ibraaheem), Prophet Moosa or Moses (Taurat or the Old Testament), Prophet Dawood or David (Zaboor or the Psalms), and Prophet Eissa or Jesus (Injeel or the Gospel).
4. Belief in the Prophets and Messengers of Allah. Muslims believe in the prophets and messengers of Allah, starting with Adam, including Noah, Abraham, Ismael, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, and Jesus (peace be upon them). Muslims believe that Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the last Prophet sent by Allah.
5. Belief in the Day of Judgment (Yaum Al-Qiyaaamah) and the Hereafter (Al- Aakhirah). Muslims believe in the Day of Judgment (the Day of Resurrection) when all people will be resurrected for Allah's judgment according to their beliefs and deeds.
6. Belief in Fate (Al-Qadar). Muslims believe in Divine Predestination. This does not mean that human beings do not have freewill, rather they can choose right or wrong and that they are responsible for their actions.
